Arthur Hensel was a Canadian guitar builder from the 1920’s through 1940’s. His guitars were usually made for Toronto based R.S. Williams & Co., and although not well known are well-built instruments. This one is a parlor guitar, neck attached at the 12th fret, and currently set up as a lap steel. It is in good condition for its age, and the previous owner added a bolt to reinforce the neck and glued a crack in the side. (see picture)
With the unique Hensel carved headstock and original tuners, as well as all solid wood construction, this guitar is a unique and solid instrument with lots of life left in it as a lap steel guitar.
Hard case included.
