The body of the Sigma DMC-1STE adapts the body construction and size of american classics and offers a solid sitka spruce top as well as mahogany back and sides. This classic combination brings together the brightness of spruce with the warmth of mahogany for a well-rounded sound in a classic cutaway dreadnought body style.
The mahogany neck on the DMC-1STE+ is topped with a Micarta fingerboard for a smooth playing experience and the cutaway provides great playability up to the highest fret.
The direct and warm sound of the Sigma DMC-1STE+can be measured with higher-priced instruments, while the built-in pickup incorporates the unique and powerful Fishman ISYS+ electronic pre-amp system. The Fishman ISYS+ system provides crisp, untainted and accurate reproduction of the iconic Sigma guitar tone. With controls for both bass and treble eq manipulation, master volume, phase and LED chromatic tuner the ISYS+ packs in all the essential features allowing you to plug in and play through any amplifier, PA or DI box without the need of additional tonal shaping tools.
The DMC-1STE+ also features a bone nut and saddle, which offers excellent resonance and sustain, along with balanced tone and durability. In addition, this type of nut naturally self lubricates and helps you stay in tune for longer.
